چکیده

We investigate the properties of the spectral function A(ω,U) of correlated electrons within the Hubbard model and dynamical mean-field theory. Curves of A(ω,U) vs. ω for different values of the interaction U are found to intersect near the band-edges of the non-interacting system. For a wide range of U the crossing points are located within a sharply confined region. The precise location of these “isosbestic points” depends on details of the noninteracting band structure. Isosbestic points of dynamic quantities therefore provide valuable insights into microscopic energy scales of correlated systems.

Isosbestic points: How a narrow crossing region of curves determines their leading parameter dependence

We analyze the sharpness of crossing (“isosbestic”) points of a family of curves which are observed in many quantities described by a function f (x,p), where x is a variable (e.g., the frequency) and p is a parameter (e.g., the temperature). We show that if a narrow crossing region is observed near x∗ for a range of parameters p, then f (x,p) can be approximated by a perturbative expression in ...

Investigation of Dust-Ion Acoustic Waves in a Magnetized Collisional Dusty Plasma with Kappa Distribution Function for Electrons

The propagation of arbitrary amplitude dust ion acoustic waves (DIAWs) in a magnetized collisional dusty plasma including hot electrons, with kappa velocity distribution for electrons, warm ions and dust particles has been studied. In the presence of immobile massive dust particulates, DIAWs have been investigated through the Sagdeev pseudo-potential method. It is demonstrated that the amplitud...

Ultrafast studies of excess electrons in liquid acetonitrile: revisiting the solvated electron/solvent dimer anion equilibrium.

We examine the ultrafast relaxation dynamics of excess electrons injected into liquid acetonitrile using air- and water-free techniques and compare our results to previous work on this system [Xia, C. et al. J. Chem. Phys. 2002, 117, 8855]. Excess electrons in liquid acetonitrile take on two forms: a "traditional" solvated electron that absorbs in the near-IR, and a solvated molecular dimer ani...

SECONDARY REACTIONS IN CONTROLLED POTEYTIAL COULONIETRl-

these conclusions can be drawn with considerable confidence: 1. Only one species contributes to the absorbance at a given isosbestic point. 2. The equilibrium of this species is not appreciably affected by temperature changes. 3. The only manner in which isosbestic points can be generated is for the absorptivity of one species at a given wave length to be linearly dependent on temperature, a t ...

تأثیر محصولات شکافت بر فرایند انتقال گرما توسط الکترون‌های با انرژی در حدود 0.5MeV در فاصله بین سوخت و غلاف

The heat transfer process from pellet to coolant is one of the important issues in nuclear reactor. In this regard, the fuel to clad gap and its physical and chemical properties are effective factors on heat transfer in nuclear fuel rod discussion. So, the energy distribution function of electrons with an energy about 0.5 MeV in fuel rod gap in Busherhr’s VVER-1000 nuclear reactor was investiga...
